General Policy

From Wyld West Wiki

Wyld West LARP aims to provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming roleplaying game environment. We rely on mutual respect and courtesy between players, volunteers, and staff to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.

To maintain this standard, Wyld West LARP expects all attendees to uphold appropriate standards of behaviour and conduct. Wyld West LARP, acting at its sole discretion, retains the right to ask any participant to leave an event at any time. This may include, but is not limited to, the following reasons:

  • Breaking the rules or policies agreed to by attending
  • Acting against our code(s) of conduct
  • Posing a safety risk to themselves or others
  • Refusing to follow instructions from Wyld West LARP staff that any reasonable person would be expected to follow
  • Appearing to break the law or being reasonably judged to have done so

Wyld West LARP also retains the right to refuse a booking from any person. We are not obliged to disclose the reason for this decision. A full refund will be issued, including any booking fees.

Bans and Disciplinary Action

If an individual or group is assessed to have breached Wyld West LARP's policies, procedures, or game expectations—either as a one-off incident or a pattern of behaviour—they may be banned from the game.

Bans will be for a term decided by Wyld West LARP staff and shared with the relevant parties. This may span several events or be a permanent exclusion. Wyld West LARP is under no obligation to disclose the circumstances surrounding a ban.

Reporting Concerns

Players and volunteers are expected to report any concerns, breaches, or inappropriate behaviour to Wyld West LARP staff as soon as possible. Staff cannot address issues they are unaware of.

While we strive to foster a safe and inclusive environment, Wyld West LARP is not legally responsible for attendees’ behaviour. Timely reporting allows us to take swift and appropriate action.

Volunteer Staff and Responsibility

All Wyld West LARP staff are volunteers. We expect them to follow a code of conduct and to act in the best interests of the game and its participants.

Please remember that individual volunteers may not be able to resolve all issues immediately, particularly those involving policy breaches or matters of legality. In such cases, they may escalate the situation to those with appropriate responsibility. Final decisions will be made once all relevant procedures have been followed and safety has been ensured to the best of our ability.
