New page

These calls are used to interrupt the game when necessary. They ensure player safety, manage in-game pauses, and help the event run smoothly.

=== FIRST AID ===
If you hear "'''FIRST AID'''" called, immediately stop any fighting and kneel down. This call signals that someone has suffered a real injury and requires medical attention.
*If you see someone injured, call "'''FIRST AID'''" to alert others.
*Do not repeat the call if you hear it—this prevents confusion and helps crew members quickly locate the incident.
*A referee or any participant who witnesses an injury may call "'''FIRST AID'''".
*Previously, some LARP events used "'''MAN DOWN'''" for this situation. While we are moving away from this term, some may instinctively use it in the heat of the moment. If you hear "'''MAN DOWN'''", react as if "FIRST AID" has been called.
*When this call is made, only referees and designated crew members should remain standing to assist. All other participants should kneel to make it easier for first-aid responders to assess the situation.
*Depending on the severity of the injury, referees may either pause play in the area or move players away and resume play once it is resolved.

=== TIME FREEZE ===
This call signals an instantaneous event in the game world that characters do not experience in real-time—for example, a supernatural occurrence or a sudden appearance.
*If you hear "'''TIME FREEZE'''", stand still, close your eyes, and remain silent.
*Do not react to anything around you until "'''TIME IN'''" is called.
*When "'''TIME IN'''" is called, resume exactly what your character was doing before the freeze, unaware that anything has happened until they become aware in-character.

=== TIME OUT ===
This call suspends gameplay for a period of time.
*You may sit, rest, or chat out-of-character while under a "'''TIME OUT'''" call.
*If it is a brief pause, it is best to remain in place until play resumes.
*This call is used at the end of a day in play and at the end of an event.

=== TIME IN ===
This call starts or resumes play.
*"'''TIME IN'''" is called at the beginning of each day and after any out-of-character pause.
*Once "TIME IN" is called, all players should immediately return to role-playing.

‘Hand in the Air’
Not a call, but a signal. This can be used by anyone to symbolise the player is acting Out of Character, or that the Character is not there.
You should only use this if you have an out of character reason to do so, such as moving to a safe location as a Non Com, a ‘monster’ is walking to a location to begin an encounter or even a creature is there, but not visible.
Players may also raise their hand to ask for rules clarifications.

== Important Notes ==
*Only referees can call "'''TIME FREEZE'''", "'''TIME OUT'''" or "'''TIME IN'''".
*Players should never use "FIRST AID" unless it is an emergency.
